There’s something so refreshing about a wedding that doesn’t take itself too seriously — one that’s full of color, laughter, and those once-in-a-lifetime moments that make your cheeks hurt from smiling. Audrey and Robert’s day at The Garden Room in Fayetteville, Arkansas was exactly that.
From the very start, it was clear how much these two adore each other. Robert was emotional (in the best way) throughout the day, and Audrey brought an infectious joy that had everyone around her glowing. Kind, giddy, and full of love — they’re the kind of couple that makes photographing weddings so meaningful.
A Garden Room Ceremony Full of Emotion and Color
The Garden Room is tucked away in the middle of Fayetteville, but once you step into the outdoor space, it feels like you’re in a secret garden. The ceremony took place outdoors beneath a canopy of vines and surrounded by lush greenery and flowers. With garden party vibes, oranges tucked into the decor, and fans and ribbons tied to each chair, the setting felt effortlessly elegant and personal.
Audrey and Robert chose to do a first look, and it was one of the most emotional moments of the day — Robert couldn’t hold back his tears. That tenderness carried through the entire ceremony, and one of my favorite photos from the day is of their first kiss, with the full audience in the background cheering them on.
Style, Sentiment, and Scissors?
Audrey wore a modern wedding dress embroidered with delicate flowers — perfect for the colorful garden vibe they created. But what made her bridal look even more iconic? Later in the night, she cut her dress with scissors at the reception. Yes — she literally snipped it for a more relaxed, dance-friendly version. It was fun, unexpected, and totally her.
The couple’s style showed up in all the right ways. Their color palette — orange, yellow, and pink — matched the joyful energy of the day. Each table setting featured an artsy pencil drawing of the couple (the same illustration from their invitations), which felt both creative and deeply personal.
A Beautiful Day in Northwest Arkansas
With 4 bridesmaids, 5 groomsmen, and a crowd full of happy guests, this wedding felt intimate but lively. One of my favorite spots to shoot portraits was the bridge covered in greenery — a perfect natural backdrop that matched the venue’s botanical charm.
