There’s something so special about photographing a wedding where faith, kindness, and timeless style come together—and Emily and Jonathan’s wedding at the Ballroom at I Street in Bentonville, Arkansas, was exactly that.

This beautiful September day felt more like an intimate backyard gathering than a grand ballroom wedding, which is part of what made it so magical. The couple chose to host their ceremony in the venue’s outdoor courtyard, surrounded by brick arches, white columns, and lush greenery. It was a warm, joy-filled celebration that honored not just their love story—but their heart for Jesus and their desire to serve each other in marriage.

First Look Under the Arches

One of my favorite moments of the day was their first look, tucked under one of the venue’s signature brick arches. It was quiet and sweet, full of emotion without a crowd—just the two of them, soaking each other in before the whirlwind began. Later, during their ceremony, they included a foot washing ceremony as a symbol of their commitment to serve one another. It was such a humble, beautiful picture of their faith.

A Courtyard Ceremony That Felt Like Home

Even though The Ballroom at I Street is known for its elegant architecture and spacious interior, Emily and Jonathan made their outdoor ceremony feel so personal and heartfelt. From the gentle breeze rustling the trees to the soft glow of the September sun, everything came together perfectly. Their classic palette of white, black, and soft blues gave the whole day a clean, timeless look.

Sweet Moments with the Littlest Guests

One of the most heartwarming parts of the day? Emily’s love for kids. The flower girls completely adored her—and the feeling was clearly mutual. She even surprised each of them with a small gift, and capturing those moments felt like photographing a big sister with her favorite little ones. It’s these tiny in-between moments that always stick with me.

Streamer Send-Off & Smooth Sailing

After a lively reception in the ballroom, the night ended with a fun streamer send-off. No rain, no hiccups—just smooth timelines and sweet people. I didn’t have a second shooter with me for this one, but it couldn’t have gone better. The Ballroom at I Street’s clean layout and great flow made it easy to capture everything solo while still staying present with the couple throughout the day.
