Audrey & Michael’s Dreamy Downtown Bentonville & Tanyard Creek Engagement Session

As an Arkansas wedding photographer, I love capturing love stories in the most beautiful locations Northwest Arkansas has to offer. When Audrey & Michael reached out to me about their engagement session, they had a clear vision: a mix of romantic city vibes with a touch of nostalgic romance. Their dream engagement photos included elements of New York-style city charm and the timeless romance of The Notebook. Together, we planned the perfect session that blended both aesthetics seamlessly.

Downtown Bentonville: Brick Charm & City Feels

Audrey & Michael wanted an urban, city-inspired setting reminiscent of New York. While Bentonville may not be the Big Apple, it offers some incredible locations that exude a similar charm. I suggested the townhomes along the streets of Downtown Bentonville, where the red brick facades, black iron railings, and cozy urban atmosphere created the perfect backdrop. As they walked hand-in-hand through the charming streets, I captured candid moments filled with laughter and love. The classic architecture and soft golden-hour light gave us the ultimate city-chic engagement photos.

Tanyard Creek: Notebook-Inspired Romance

For the second half of their session, Audrey & Michael wanted The Notebook vibes—timeless, romantic, and filled with warmth. Tanyard Creek in Bella Vista was the perfect choice with its scenic trails, lush greenery, and peaceful water views. We set up a cozy picnic scene on a grassy hill, complete with a blanket, a book, and the intimate moments they envisioned. As they snuggled close, reading together under the soft glow of the setting sun, I captured the essence of their love in its purest form. The natural beauty of Tanyard Creek combined with their undeniable chemistry created an enchanting and heartfelt session.

Audrey & Michael also wanted to incorporate some 35mm film shots into their engagement session. They felt that the nostalgic, grainy quality of film perfectly matched their vibe and love story. They adore the artistic process of shooting on film, from the anticipation of waiting for the developed images to the unique, timeless feel that digital photography just can’t replicate. I was thrilled to capture these special moments on film, adding an extra layer of authenticity and charm to their session.
